LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has come under fire as eagle-eyed fans claim to have spotted alleged discrepancies in her recent Instagram post.

On Monday, March 17, the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex shared a wholesome clip of herself preparing a green-themed St Patrick’s Day breakfast for her family, from making the waffle batter to plating the final dish.

However, not all fans were impressed, as some viewers noticed that the plated waffles looked different from the mold of her waffle maker and accused the mother of two of allegedly telling "bold-faced lies."

Meghan Markle shares breakfast video on St Patrick’s Day

Taking to her Instagram Story, the former ‘Suits’ actress shared several short clips of her preparing a holiday-themed breakfast for her family, complete with green waffles and green drinks, as reported by the New York Post.

In the videos, the Duchess of Sussex claimed she made homemade waffles from scratch for her family of four, including her husband Prince Harry, 40, and their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Alongside the clip of her stirring the batter, the ‘As Ever’ founder wrote, “About this morning…” before showing a shot of matching green drinks with the caption, “We love a theme.”

She also showcased the presentation of the waffles, plating round waffles for her children. The With Love, Meghan host decorated their plates with whipped cream, sliced kiwis, and berries. The adults' plates looked slightly different, featuring waffle quarters paired with strawberries.

Nevertheless, internet sleuths noted that the waffles she served her children looked noticeably different from the waffle iron she used.

Meghan Markle's fans accuse her of lying

Netizens were unimpressed by the variety of waffles Meghan Markle plated for St Patrick’s Day. While some social media users pointed out that the waffle shapes didn’t match the iron mold, others claimed the waffles for her children looked store-bought.

One of the social media users said, "I immediately saw the difference when I saw the video. I couldn’t grasp the reason to lie about waffles. What kind of person needs to do that? Meghan Markle is a walking scam."

Someone else added, "She can’t even be honest about waffles. The waffles she attempted to take credit for having made did NOT come from the waffle iron she depicted herself as using. If she is willing to blatantly lie about this, what other bold faced lies are there?"

"I didn’t catch it at first lol but now can’t unsee. So sad she had to lie even about a 🧇," penned a third.

"Good grief! It’s a waffle! Why cheat?" asked a perplexed social media user.

Another added, "Why lie about waffles?" before musing, "Because she really believes we’re all too stupid to notice. Her condescension is off the charts."

"She’s never made waffles before," declared someone else, before adding, "The waffle maker is dry and hot, you need non-stick spray."

"I noticed how little batter she made for multiple waffles. The math didn't work," noticed another user.

A disheartened fan chimed in, "If she is scamming even about freaking waffles then so is her crew and Netflix."

"Wafflegate was not on my bingo card! 😂🧐😂," joked another.
