LONDON, UK: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020, are reportedly holding onto the possibility of returning to the monarchy, despite their public criticisms of it, according to OK! Magazine.

According to experts, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain optimistic about the prospect of being invited back to fulfill royal duties on their terms. However, palace insiders suggest that such a scenario is becoming increasingly unlikely.

"Both Meghan and Harry still hope that at some point they might be asked back to become working royals on their own terms — it’s a rapidly shrinking possibility," commented Tom Quinn, reflecting on the couple's aspirations, as per The Mirror.

“As I understand it from palace contacts, they are kidding themselves if they think they will be invited back in any way," he added.

Recent developments within the royal family, including Prince Charles's health issues and Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis, have sparked speculation about the potential return of the Sussexes to royal duties.

“This is a dread situation, a major operation followed by cancer,” Richard Fitzwilliams told a publication. “There is always sometimes in the most awful and serious thing sometimes opportunities come as well one must hope there is as much positivity as possible that’s what she is spreading with the message like that.”

“This is also an opportunity for the trolls and the evil people spreading malicious rumors to be silenced,” Fitzwilliams added.
