Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s pics from Kris Jenner's 70th birthday bash deleted by Kardashians
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Pictures of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been deleted by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner from the latter's 70th birthday party.
Photos of the Sussexes attending Kris Jenner's 70th birthday surfaced and then were deleted off social media, a reminder that they continue to police their public image.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle erased from star studded party photos
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were among the guests at the James Bond-themed birthday party of Kris Jenner, which was held in the $175 million Beverly Hills mansion owned by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
At first, the pair could be spotted in the Instagram posts of the event, put up by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. However, the Sussexes have since vanished from these public social media feeds.
Specifically, an image Jenner posted of herself with the couple was removed, though pictures of other party attendees remained.
Behind closed doors, Markle and Harry mingled with celebrities and billionaires, including Jenner's five daughters, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart, Justin Bieber, Ciara and Kathy, Paris and Nicky Hilton. Beyonce and Jay-Z also attended but avoided being seen by paparazzi.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's resolve to have control of their public narrative
Since relocating to the US in 2020, the couple have made it a priority to keep their lives private on their terms.
They carefully manage what Markle posts on her Instagram and what they show in their Netflix projects like 2025’s 'With Love, Meghan' and 2022’s 'Harry & Meghan'.
This controlling approach was outlined by California photographer Mark Karloff in April, who said the pair even manipulated the paparazzi after their move.
Karloff told Techreport that when Harry and Meghan first came to the area, photographers scrambled to find them, but the couple was running around doing mock photo ops and setups, often with their own photographers.
Karlov pointed out that the public has become disinterested, and even said such individuals are no longer worth the trouble nor do people care like they once did.
Photo deletion sparks criticism and royal conflict
Commenters certainly did not overlook the abrupt removal of the photos: "Fooling no one," various followers chimed in to point out that the photos were gone.
Their presence at the high-profile glitzy event also drew criticism from royal circles. "It's so tacky," said a palace insider who works with the royal family.
"It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy."
