LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle is reportedly trying to restore her reputation in Hollywood after months of public scrutiny might have caused industry executives to distance themselves from the Duchess of Sussex.

European editor for The Daily Beast Tom Sykes claimed that there are "rumors that some power players in Hollywood who were formerly enamored of the couple will no longer take Meghan’s calls personally," as per Radar Online.

People in Hollywood now roll eyes at Meghan Markle

The report highlights concerns regarding Meghan Markle's career in the entertainment industry as she faces a string of canceled or stalled projects.

She has been involved in a number of endeavors after stepping down from her royal duties in 2020. However, Meghan has yet to find her footing in Hollywood.

Meghan's podcast, 'Archetypes,' which was produced in collaboration with Spotify, was canceled in 2023 after only 12 episodes, according to The Times. Moreover, her much-anticipated summertime Netflix cooking show has yet to debut.

To make matters worse, bureaucratic trademark issues have reportedly caused delays for her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

As per Sykes, there has been a change in how Hollywood views Meghan, as there are rumors that prominent people who previously supported her are no longer answering her calls directly.

Paula Froelich, a NewsNation entertainment correspondent, echoed a similar sentiment. She said, "This is what happens when you haven’t actually made money — you fall [down] the totem pole of importance. People in LA roll their eyes at them."

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, initially attracted a lot of attention from influential Hollywood figures, landing big deals with Netflix and Spotify, following their 2020 departure from the royal family.

However, the couple's business endeavors have encountered trouble keeping up and producing outcomes, which has caused some to doubt their long-term sustainability in the entertainment industry.

Meghan Markle might be working toward rebuilding Hollywood connections

Meghan Markle continues to be a divisive figure; while her admirers praise her attempts to establish a self-sufficient identity, her critics doubt her capacity to transform her fame into long-term prosperity.

Nevertheless, she continues to utilize her A-list connections to promote American Riviera Orchard's secret jams despite the rumors of conflict.

According to OK! Magazine, the Duchess of Sussex has sent her upscale fruit preserves to celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Kris Jenner, and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Regarding the brand's social media campaign, a source stated, "Meghan has been meticulously curating gift packages filled with a selection of all her favorite things — and of course, plenty of her jam — to send to the who’s who of Hollywood."

"While there is no doubt it’s about promoting her American Riviera Orchard brand, it’s also about spreading goodwill and trying to remind people of her softer side," the tipster added.

Meghan has allegedly cut off contact with her inner circle since moving back to California, but the source suggested that the mother of two might re-engage with her network.

They revealed, "With Christmas around the corner, Meghan sees it as the perfect time to try to rebuild connections and is determined not to start 2025 surrounded by negativity," adding that Meghan has "been feeling increasingly lonely recently and wants to concentrate on strengthening friendships."
