Meghan Markle's disagreement with Prince Harry over Christmas plans may prove dreadful for their marriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s already strained relationship may worsen due to disagreement over plans for the holiday season.
Harry's maternal uncle, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, has invited him and his family to spend Christmas with him at Althorp in West Northamptonshire, England, but Meghan doesn't seem to be thrilled about it, as per Express.co.uk.
Meghan Markle is 'reluctant' to travel to the United Kingdom
A tipster revealed, "Harry is keen for the Sussexes to spend time in the UK this Christmas with family. However, there are still concerns lingering over their security."
They added, "Meghan has always shown a reluctance to travel to the United Kingdom and finds it quite a challenge with all that's been going on," while noting that difference in opinion might affect their married life.
Harry and Meghan lost the privileges of taxpayer-funded police protection after stepping down as senior royals in 2020.
In August, the Duke of Sussex visited Althorp House, the Spencer family's 500-year-old ancestral home, but without his wife.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's solo engagements
In the last few weeks, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have continued to go solo on numerous occasions, giving rise to the speculations that there is trouble in their paradise.
Harry even reportedly spent his 40th birthday with his friends, instead of being with Meghan and their two children at their home in Montecito, California.
After attending various engagements in New York during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week, he joined the WellChild Awards in the UK and made his way to Lesotho, South Africa to perform duties with his charity organization Sentebale, which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso in 2006.
On the other hand, Meghan made a solo appearance at the 2024 Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala on Saturday, October 5, in a red Carolina Herrera dress.
However, her body language did not appear confident, as per an expert.
Body language expert Judi James claimed, "Meghan performs signals of coyness and even shyness plus a subliminal desire to have someone take over the lead from Harry, as though she is somehow lost without him on the red carpet or wanting to suggest she is feeling more vulnerable and girlishly playful than usual."
Royal correspondent doesn't think there's anything odd about Prince Harry going solo
Amid the rumors of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle living "separate lives," BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond has said, "Harry is box office. He's always had a way with people and crowds and it's lovely to see him coming into his own with charities and causes that he became involved with many years ago."
She added, "Married couples don't have to do everything together. The children are young and it's much better for them to have one parent at home, so it all makes perfect sense. It's just Harry doing what Harry does best," as per The Mirror.
While Harry was expected to return to California and reunite with his wife and their two children over the weekend, he seems to have extended his solo tour for a few days in order to spend more time with friends and family in Cape Town.
