Meghan Markle has "outgrown" her previous friend circle after she transitioned into a royal life, claims relationship expert Kate Mansfield. The expert told The Mirror, "People who value growth and personal development often grow out of friends and connections over the years, as they change to the point that they no longer have much in common with old friends." “This can be down to different values, lifestyle and interests,” Mansfied added while observing, “All of which profoundly and most certainly apply to Meghan’s journey into becoming a royal,” per New York Post. From her royal wedding guests David and Victoria Beckham to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Meghan has reportedly cut ties with some of her old friends.

1. David and Victoria Beckham

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham were two of the most vocal champions of the Sussexes in England. However, during the trying times when Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties and flew away to America, their relationship with the Beckhams also suffered a blow. Per royal biographer Tom Bower, Meghan "suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion." In his book 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors', Bower claimed as Harry called the football royalty to confront, it soured the friendship. Bower wrote, "Harry called David Beckham to repeat the accusation. Outraged, Beckham's truthful denials damaged their relationship," per Nicki Swift.

2. Jessica Mulroney

Meghan Markle's friendship with celebrity stylist Jessica Mulroney allegedly suffered a blow over some of the social media comments made on Instagram. Though Mulroney was initially a close friend of Meghan, their friendship suffered when the stylist got locked in a social media tiff with influencer Sasha Exeter. As Exeter accused Mulroney of threatening her for her "generic call to action" about the Black Lives Matter movement, Mulroney tried to explain her understanding of the situation by citing the name of her biracial friend Meghan. She wrote in a since-deleted comment, "As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and center." Over her fight with Exeter, Mulroney not only lost several business opportunities, her friendship with Meghan also suffered a blow. A source with the direct information told Us Weekly, "Meghan could not get over that Jessica brought up her relationship with Meghan when she commented about her 'closest friend' in the discourse with Sasha," before adding, "That was hugely offensive to Meghan and the deciding factor for her. Meghan considers the relationship to be done."

3. Priyanka Chopra Jonas

While neither Meghan Markle nor Priyanka Chopra Jonas confirm the end of their friendship, the duo has not been spotted in Los Angeles hanging out together ever. After the pair met for the first time in January 2016, they clicked immediately. Their friendship turned deeper as the 'Quantico' star was even invited to the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan. However, when Priyanka was marrying Nick Jonas in 2018, the pregnant Meghan (she was expecting Archie then) was not seen attending the festivities. This, in turn, "crushed" Priyanka. A source revealed to Page Six, "Priyanka was crushed," before adding, "Their friendship is over unless Meghan apologizes... She feels Meghan didn't respect her, and didn't respect their friendship." The 'Citadel' star later, however, cleared the air during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' as she dismissed the rumor of their rift.

4. Millie Mackintosh

Millie Mackintosh claimed that she was not best friends with Meghan. However, she found herself getting "ghosted" by the duchess. As Meghan was a newbie in London, she and Millie apparently connected, with the 'Made in Chelsea' star acting as a tour guide. During an episode of her 'Mumlemmas & More' podcast, Millie shared, "I definitely would say we were not best friends but when she was in town she would let me know and we would sometimes hang out." She went on to share her experience as she said that when the future duchess started seeing Prince Harry, she ceased to have communication. Millie said, "[Meghan] just sent me this really abrupt message that was really unlike any of our communication before," before adding, "But I did expect that we would stay in touch."

5. 'Suits' co-stars

The duchess's relationship with her 'Suits' co-stars, who attended her royal wedding too, is also reportedly not all rosy. While the stars including Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Patrick J Adams, have never shaded the mother-of-two, their friendship does not remain the same. Adams once shared with Radio Times that while he still has Markle's number, he is apprehensive about calling her. He said, "I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don't know what I would say."

6. Ninaki Priddy

Meghan has also ceased to speak to her childhood friend and maid of honor at her first wedding to Trevor Engelson in 2011, over suspicions of Priddy leaking stories to the press. Priddy once shared, “All I can say now is that I think Meghan was calculated – very calculated – in the way she handled people and relationships. She is very strategic in the way she cultivates circles of friends. Once she decides you’re not part of her life, she can be very cold. It’s this shutdown mechanism she has. There’s nothing to negotiate. She’s made her decision and that’s it," per Daily Mail.
