During a discussion on 'The Megyn Kelly Show' with Tom Bevan, Carl Cannon, and Andrew Walworth of RealClearPolitics, Kelly said, “I give Trump an A. He didn’t get nasty. He stayed in good humor… He did a great job with the personal stories… These were especially memorable, very effective, and very dangerous traps for the Democrats.”

Kelly emphasized that Trump’s personal anecdotes weren’t just engaging—they also served a political purpose. “These personal moments were carefully framed to highlight Democratic weaknesses,” she said. The journalist praised the president’s ability to combine humor, policy, and storytelling to deliver a speech that resonated with both supporters and neutral observers.

Laura Ingraham praises Trump’s speech pacing and delivery

Kelly was not the only conservative commentator to endorse Trump’s performance. Laura Ingraham took to X, noting, “Everyone out there who said that Trump started out slowly didn’t understand that he knows a thing or two about pacing. He was building up to this part of the speech.” Ingraham added that conservatives should enjoy Trump’s presidency while it lasts, writing, “Once Pres. Trump’s gone, we won’t see anything like this for a very long time.”

The one hour and 48-minute speech combined personal storytelling, policy achievements, and veteran honors, leaving supporters impressed with Trump’s balance of charisma and political strategy.
