WASHINGTON, DC: First lady Melania Trump thinks that allowing AI in classrooms would not be a bad idea, as "AI is a continuation of human knowledge’s delivery evolution."

Melania advocated that Artificial Intelligence should be allowed in school so that children can prevent the United States from falling behind in the “AI-driven future.”

Melania Trump favors AI in education in opinion piece

Sharing her take on the use of AI in the classroom in an opinion piece published in Fox News, Melania argued that both students and teachers should use AI to ensure America’s superiority.

The opinion piece was published on Saturday, April 4, where Melania advised against “fearmongering about robots,” stating that AI will not replace teachers but supplement their work, as she encouraged Americans to “embrace” AI.

Referring to her anti-cyberbullying initiative ‘Be Best’ launched in 2017 during Trump’s first tenure as POTUS, Melania argued that as ‘Be Best’ was “wrongfully deemed trivial and inconsequential,” Americans are facing “another critical moment in time.”

Melania Trump continues her efforts to promote AI usage

Melania’s opinion advocating the use of AI in classrooms comes days after her Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit held late in March. “Do not dismiss the power of AI — open your mind to its potential, and educate yourself,” she wrote.

“AI is the continuation of human knowledge’s delivery evolution and should be embraced,” Melania wrote, arguing that the tech “provides access to an elite education — the highest level of human knowledge — benefiting students, families and educators alike.”

Talking about the past leaps in the Education sector, Melani argued that technology brought several leaps, and AI is just the latest. She further argued that Americans should embrace AI so that American children can outpace the global community.

“Digital literacy is vital. If America’s children are not fluent in AI — how it works, how to use it, and how to think decisively about it — they will fall behind,” she argued. “We will all fall behind.”

AI bridges economic gap in society, says Melania Trump

Underscoring AI’s role in bridging the economic gap in society, Melania further penned, “For generations, only wealthier families could afford tutors and specialized programs. AI changes this completely.”

AI provides the unprivileged children with an opportunity to access “the best caliber of academics,” she further argued in favor of Artificial Intelligence.

To encourage Americans to adopt AI, Melania invoked the example of China, as how the country is “integrating AI into its education, industry, and national strategy, and it understands that the country that leads in AI will lead in global influence.”
