Melissa Gorga claims all 'RHONJ' cast members use Ozempic except her as she 'works out very hard'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Melissa Gorga recently disclosed that the cast of 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' (RHONJ) has been collectively using diabetes drug Ozempic to aid in weight loss. 

However, Gorga stands apart as she claimed she is the only one who doesn't use it but relies on vigorous workouts to stay fit, Daily Mail reported.

Speaking to 'Sherri' host Sherri Shepherd, she emphasized her commitment to exercise, stating, "I work out really, really hard."

During her appearance on the show on Wednesday, May 29 episode, the 45-year-old reality star shared that she opts to focus on her fitness routine to lose weight. 

She expressed happiness about her co-stars using Ozempic, popular among Hollywood elites for weight loss, to "feel good" and "look good".

The discussion arose shortly after Shepherd mentioned how Dolores Catania, 53, and Margaret Josephs, 57, disclosed during their early May appearance on her show that "most of the cast" has used the diabetes drug. 

Catania said on the May 2 episode of 'Sherri', "I don't know why, because there's no shame in it. If a doctor gives it to you, if you're doing things right, you're becoming healthier by losing weight. It's a bunch of great things that come along with this." 

Notably, she claimed that she lost 20 pounds after using Ozempic and Mounjaro alternatively.

Josephs also admitted to using Ozempic and said that she had a positive experience with the medication.

Melissa Gorga shares benefits of using Ozempic

Melissa Gorga emphasized that she concentrates on intense workouts compared to her co-stars. 

She clarified that while she doesn't use Ozempic, she doesn't judge her castmates for their choice to use the drug.

She noted, "'After menopause, it's so hard to lose weight," expressing frustration over weight stigma. 

She highlighted the benefits of Ozempic, stating that it helps control food cravings and improves blood work.

The current season of the show features Gorga, Catania, Josephs, Giudice, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda. Former housewives Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler will appear in "friends of" capacities. 

In 2023, Fessler disclosed her hospitalization due to a scary side effect of Ozempic but continued its usage. 

Goldschneider criticized Ozempic as "an eating disorder in a needle" after previously opening up about her battle with anorexia.

'RHONJ' alum Lauren Manzo revealed losing 80 pounds using the alternative diabetes drug Mounjaro in 2023.
