NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The 'Queen of Pop' arrived, and she made sure her look perfectly aligned with the Met Gala theme. Madonna's attendance at the red carpet in her signature style brought drama, aura and gothic vibes. She stood in a 50-inch wig and a sheer cape that flowed behind her, with seven attendants holding her dress.

The 'Material Girl' singer truly made time stand still with the intricate details of her outfit, living up to this year's 'Fashion is Art' theme. She opted for an iconic all-black ensemble, serving strong Morticia Addams-meets-Beetlejuice vibes with a dark, emo Victorian twist and a dash of witchy undertone.

Madonna showed once again why she remains the ultimate 'it' girl for paparazzi. The pop icon donned an outfit inspired by  Leonora Carrington's 1945 painting 'The Temptation Of St. Anthony. Fragment II.'

She made a strong impression, especially with the eye-catching ship-shaped headpiece, which added a sense of mystery.

Madonna’s 50-inch wig steals the spotlight at Met Gala

Madonna paired her Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello outfit with an extra-long wig. The 50-inch hair featured loose waves and tight braids. The wig was created by artisan wigmaker Merria Dearman, who followed a very clear vision from Madonna. She wanted it "long," "dark," "thick," and full of texture.

According to Dearman, the idea behind the hair was simple but specific: very long, full, and natural-looking. The color was a deep brown rather than black. "The look was rooted in an obscure feminist artist,” said Dearman. “It was surreal, textural, and emotionally driven rather than literal. From the beginning, it was never about perfection. It was about feeling," the artist told Vogue.

Madonna elevates black with a satin lace dress and sheer cape

The popstar captured the ultimate essence of the Met Gala theme as she wore a long Saint Laurent slip dress made of satin and lace. She also added a dramatic sheer violet organza cape and completed her look with leather platform boots, a long black wig, and a fun hat with a ghost ship on top.

Every look at the gala carries a deeper meaning, and hers was inspired by artist Leonora Carrington. The style tied into her overall theme, drawing from the 1945 oil painting 'The Temptations of Saint Anthony Fragment II.'

Carrington also inspired Madonna's 'Bedtime Story' music video. Speaking of her makeup, it had an Italian touch and was done by Marcelo Gutierrez.

She wore black gloves and a diamond ring on her left hand. Her makeup was kept soft and simple, with a fresh look and light lipstick that complemented her outfit without overpowering it. For her eyes, Madonna's lashes were enhanced to add volume, giving them a soft, mauve, smoky finish.

The singer also ditched diamonds for her neckpiece and chose a bold silver pendant instead. She paired it with black opera gloves that covered her hands and arms, and skipped a purse in favor of carrying a golden hunting horn.

The painting, which inspired Madonna's look, depicts a dark figure standing with a ship placed on their head, blowing into an object that resembles a hunting horn. The figure is dressed in a cape-like outfit, held out in a circular shape by several colorful characters surrounding it. The artwork also includes a goat-headed creature, shown pouring water from a ceramic vase to form a flowing river.
