NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former attorney and "fixer," is expected to testify in the hush money criminal trial against the former president on May 13, as reported by Fox News.

Cohen is the key witness in the hush money case brought against Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for his involvement in arranging a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels on behalf of the ex-POTUS.

Trump has pled guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, all stemming from accusations that he tried to cover up the payment made to Daniels to suppress their affair ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

By the end of Day 15 of the historic trial, several star witnesses, including Daniels, former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker, and ex-Trump aides, Rhona Graff and Hope Hicks, took the witness stand.

Michael Cohen is looking forward to testifying in the hush money trial

Ahead of his highly anticipated testimony, Cohen has made several public remarks about the trial, prompting Trump attorney Todd Blanche to ask Judge Juan Merchan to put a gag order on the former attorney. In response, the judge directed him to stop publicly discussing the case.

In a recent conversation with MeidasTouch's Ben Meiselas, Cohen confirmed that he's expected to take the stand in the coming week, noting, "The expectation is next week that I'm on. And I'm kind of looking forward to it because, again, you can't be finished with something unless you start it, right?"

"It's kind of like an entrepreneurial mindset. You can't be in it unless you're willing to get in it. And so there we go. You know, the sooner this thing starts, the sooner this thing finishes, and that way I can, yeah, this too shall pass," said the former Executive VP for the Trump Organization, adding a philosophical touch about the impending moments of him taking the witness stand.

Cohen was sentenced to three years imprisonment after pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws by making the payment to Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential election, which Trump won.

Another remarked, "Won't we be glad to see him ride off into the sunset...after he testifies and helps bring a strong guilty verdict?"

"The courtroom drama just got its own reality show spin-off," added a person, while someone else wrote, "Stormy was the clown. Here comes the whole freakin circus. Jeez I wish they'd have televised this freak show. We'd all be glued to the set."

An individual joked, "Just hope that Cohen is taking some mindful breathing lessons to that he can stay calm on the stand."

One mocking remark read, "Earthquake coming."
