LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The mother of Michael Jackson has requested a court to command the executors of her late son’s estate to give her $561,548 so that she can clear her legal fees to law firm Glaser Weil Fink Howard Jordan & Shapiro (Glasser Weil).

Katherine Jackson amassed such a hefty amount in legal bills after taking legal action against John Branca and John McClain, the executors of Michael’s estate, over a secret deal, RadarOnline.com reported.

Executors transformed MJJ Business into a profitable enterprise

Branca and McClain argued that because of them, the estate has earned profits over the years since the music legend died in 2009.

In their court papers, they stated, “The Estate was teetering on the verge of collapse, with more than $400 million in debt that encumbered Michael’s most significant assets and little or no liquidity or means to service that debt.”

The duo also mentioned, “Through creative thinking, hard work and business savvy—and, of course, Michael’s extraordinary creative legacy—the Executors, transformed the MJJ Business into a profitable enterprise.”

A judge eventually ruled in favor of the executors as they ordered, “The proposed transaction is approved and the executors are authorized and instructed to take all actions necessary to implement the proposed transaction, including but not limited to signing all contracts and performing all obligations required of the estate.”

Michael Jackson’s estate has ‘ample resources’

Katherine did not stop as she went on to appeal the verdict in a higher court.

Her new appeal has reportedly racked up $561,548 in bills from April 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023.

The elderly woman has also asserted that her son’s estate has “ample resources and much more than will be necessary to pay its anticipated expenses."
