FONTEVILLE, MONACO: Michael Jordan has sparked fresh concerns about his health after a picture of him attending a Champions League match in Monaco went viral.

The image shared by Bleach Reporter, which showed Jordan with yellow-tinged eyes, has left fans worried that the basketball legend may be dealing with serious health issues.

Michael Jordan's yellow eyes spark concerns

Michael Jordan was spotted at the Stade Louis-II stadium with his wife, Yvette Prieto, on Thursday, September 20. The couple watched Monaco's three-one victory over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

Several fans pointed out in the comment section of the post that the yellowish hue in Jordan’s eyes. Many speculated whether this could be a sign of jaundice, a condition often linked to liver problems, including excessive jaundice consumption or other underlying health concerns.

This is not the first time fans have noticed the discoloration in the six-time NBA champion’s eyes.

Following his appearance in the 2020 Netflix docuseries 'The Last Dance', Jordan's eye color was scrutinized.

At the time, the condition sparked fan theories that the iconic basketballer could be suffering from jaundice or even a more severe illness.

However, no official diagnosis or confirmation has been made about his health.

Experts give their opinion on Michael Jordan's eye condition

Amid the renewed attention to Michael Jordan's eye condition, medical experts have weighed in on the potential causes.

Speaking to VICE after 'The Last Dance' aired, Dr Val Phua, an ophthalmologist, stressed the importance of not ignoring yellow eyes.

"Yellow eyes should not be ignored because they are a sign of something more going on," he explained.

"There is literally more than meets the eye. Leaving eye conditions untreated can compromise vision and even lead to blindness," said Dr Phua.

The ophthalmologist also pointed out a slightly raised lesion visible on Jordan’s eye which may indicate a condition called pinguecula—an eye growth that can cause localized yellowing.

However, he emphasized that jaundice remains a possibility.

In a candid moment, Jordan once admitted his fears related to alcohol in an interview, according to Daily Mail.

"A lot of times I'll dream I'm a bad alcoholic and I can't stop drinking and embarrassing myself. And I'm going to lose everything. I wake up from that dream in a sweat," he revealed, further fueling speculations about his health among fans.
