Michelle Trachtenberg responds to trolls, says she never had plastic surgery as fans claims she looks 'sick'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Gossip Girl’ Michelle Trachtenberg is not happy with the fans after getting trolled over her ‘sick’ appearance.

Trachtenberg, 38, fired back on Thursday, January 18, to clarify the doubts that she was healthy and had not been through any procedures to modify her appearance.

Why was Michelle Trachtenberg trolled over her appearance?

The internet started to question her appearance after Trachtenberg uploaded a selfie with ‘Spy Kids’ star Alexa PenaVega. She revealed that they were getting hair done.

“These kids….now adults getting our roots/hair done! Love this girl @vegaalexa,” she captioned the photo on Instagram, Hollywoodlife also reported. 

Following the post, fans speculated there was something wrong with Trachtenberg. “Michelle u look sick. R u ok?,” commented a user.

“Yellowing eyes, hair loss, and sunken features aren’t normal for a 38 yo. You are still gorgeous, so illness can be hard to see. Please get checked…,” wrote another Instagram user in part in the comment box.

“Yellow eyes, are you good?” questioned another. “No offense Michelle, but you are looking a bit haggard. I think people are concerned that it could be health related. You are still beautiful,” wrote one more.

One more questioned her hairline saying, “These are no roots it is a bald spot.” Even as many fans were in her support, these comments seem to have hurt.

Following the concern fans raised about her appearance, Trachtenberg posted another selfie making sure she addressed the people who were questioning her appearance and health.

“I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance,” she wrote alongside the selfie on Instagram.

“I have never had plastic surgery. I am happy and healthy. Check yourself haters,” she added.

However, people still seemed unconvinced, as one user responded in part, “…Your photos clearly show a woman who has lost weight, had yellowed eyes, is losing her hair, and who appears generally unwell…”

“She looks sick tho. No hater here,” added another. “Nobody is talking about plastic surgery…they are talking about your liver shutting down,” one more wrote.

“Calling people haters is weird for being genuinely concerned about you. These are your fans. The only reason you have money and a platform. To call them haters is so TELLING,” wrote one.

The post also garnered support for Trachtenberg but fans still expressed concern as one wrote in part, "I was wondering if you were ok…didn’t think it in harmful mean way just wanting to make sure your health is good."

“And honestly it isn’t my business…you are happy and that’s all that matters. I’m sorry if it was offensive," expressed one.

“You’re stunning!!!,” wrote one more. “I don’t think it’s about ‘hating’ at all, it’s about concern,” one more user wrote. “You’re a natural beauty,” wrote a user.

“I’m not a hater. I adore you, just concerned,” wrote one more.
