FAYETTEVILLE, GEORGIA: Actress Millie Bobby Brown has sparked speculation among fans after sharing a beachside Instagram post on Tuesday, May 18, that appeared to contain a subtle clue about her adopted daughter’s name.
Brown, who welcomed a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi in 2025, sparked speculation after posting photos in a yellow bikini accessorized with layered jewelry, including a necklace bearing the name “Ruth,” which fans believed may have revealed the child’s name.

Brown shared the now-viral Instagram carousel over the weekend, featuring beach photos from a tropical getaway. In the images, the she wore a textured yellow bikini, hoop earrings, colorful beaded necklaces, and layered gold chains.
The necklace, however, immediately caught fans’ attention because it appeared to spell out the name “Ruth” in cursive lettering. Social media users quickly filled the comments section with questions and theories about whether she had quietly revealed her daughter’s name.
One fan reportedly wrote, “Her necklace says Ruth! Baby name??!!,” while another called the possible name “so cute.” Some fans also pointed out another possibility connected to the necklace.
Brown’s late grandmother, who died in 2020, was also named Ruth, leading several followers to believe the jewelry may have been intended as a tribute instead. Others suggested that both explanations could be true, speculating that she may have named her daughter after her grandmother.
The actress captioned the post “juicyyyy,” with a blue heart emoji, while additional photos showed tropical scenery, fruit carts, coconuts, and poolside moments.

The speculation arrives months after Brown and Bongiovi announced they had welcomed a baby girl through adoption in August 2025. In a joint Instagram statement at the time, the couple said, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
Shortly after the announcement, fans also noticed what appeared to be another clue regarding the child’s identity. she was photographed carrying a pink phone case displaying the initials “R,” “W,” and “B,” which many believed referenced the baby’s initials alongside the family surname.
After tying the knot in a private ceremony in May 2024, followed by a second wedding celebration in Italy, she openly spoke about her desire to start a family with Bongiovi. “This has been my thing since before I met Jake. … I wanted to be a [young] mom just like the way my mom was to me, It’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she told 'SmartLess' podcast listeners in March 2025.
Despite ongoing curiosity surrounding her family life, Brown has repeatedly emphasized her desire to protect her daughter’s privacy. In an interview with British Vogue in November 2025, the actress explained, “For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself, It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly."
