LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Milo Ventimiglia, best known for his role on 'This Is Us', is facing unimaginable heartbreak after wildfires destroyed his Malibu home.

The actor, whose wife, Jarah Mariano, is pregnant with their first child, returned to the site to find their property reduced to ashes.

Fans across the globe have been moved by the actor’s unfortunate loss, particularly as his wife is due to give birth soon. One fan wrote, “Absolutely heartbreaking for all the people affected by the wildfires in California! His wife is also due to give birth any day now...”

Milo Ventimiglia mourns loss of Malibu home in LA fires



 

Milo Ventimiglia said to CBS News on January 9, as he approached the charred remains of his Malibu home, “Oh man, Toast.” The 47-year-old, visibly emotional, described the devastation caused by the Palisades fire as “heavy,” struggling to hold back tears.

Reflecting on the loss, he shared, “You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house, and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around and your heart just breaks.”

Adding to the devastation, Ventimiglia revealed that the couple had recently prepared a nursery for their unborn child. He recounted the painful moment of watching flames overtake the home via security cameras before resigning himself to the tragedy. “I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, this is happening, At a certain point, we just turned it off. What good is it to continue watching? We kind of accepted the loss,” he said.
