Minka Kelly shares cryptic post about ‘soulmates’ after rumored split from Dan Reynolds
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Minka Kelly has shared a post about “soulmates” and “partners of destiny” after her reported breakup with Dan Reynolds.
The 46-year-old actress began dating Reynolds in 2022 after a mutual friend introduced them. However, earlier this month, PEOPLE, citing an insider, reported that the pair’s split “happened recently.”

Now, weeks later, on Sunday, October 18, Kelly posted a carousel of images on Instagram, including her spending time with her friends and adorable dogs. However, the last slide was a message that read, “Soulmates, or partners of destiny, can be people that come into your life and change your life.”
“And ideally, it’s not about holding on to it, but understanding what they brought into your life — what did you learn and how did you change? It’s about seeing these people and these situations as a gift, as steps in your own personal development,” the message concluded.
Neither the ‘Ransom Canyon’ actress nor the 39-year-old singer has issued any official statement regarding their breakup yet. But when they started dating, Reynolds had just revealed that he and his former wife Aja Volkman, with whom he shares four children, were no longer together.
Dan Reynolds once called his relationship with Minka Kelly ‘healthy’
Later in 2024, the record producer told PEOPLE, “After about a month we met in person, and ever since then, we’ve been attached at the hip. Minka and I are in a really happy, healthy relationship.”
“The kids really love Minka and really love their mom, and that’s okay. We view it as kind of bonuses to the family: more people to love, more people to help. We’ve just been really careful with that and slow with navigating how to bring Minka into that conversation. She’s done a really incredible job of being sensitive and careful on her end as well,” Reynolds shared at the time.
Minka Kelly called Dan Reynolds a ‘beautiful man’
Kelly did not share much about their relationship publicly. But in 2025, she posted a tribute for Reynolds on the occasion of his birthday.
Posting a photo of herself and the musician, she wrote, “This beautiful man has healed wounds in me he did not inflict - simply by being himself. By embodying true masculinity. The kind that is vulnerable, honest and loving.”
Kelly also expressed her thankfulness towards Reynolds by adding, “Thank you for loving me. Thank you for blessing my life in ways I never thought possible - but always dreamed of. I love you, Dan. Happiest birthday to you. Now let’s dance!”
