Mitzi Gaynor dies at 93, 'South Pacific' star's longtime managers 'celebrate her legacy'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Mitzi Gaynor has died at age 93 due to natural causes.
Widely known for playing Nellie Forbush in the 1958 flick 'South Pacific,' Gaynor went on to work with famous stars such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Gene Kelly.

Mitzi Gaynor was considered one of the last few artists from the so-called golden age of the Hollywood musical.
Gaynor's death was confirmed by her long-time managers Rene Reyes and Shane Rosamonda confirmed to The Associated Press.
“As we celebrate her legacy, we offer our thanks to her friends and fans and the countless audiences she entertained throughout her long life,” they said in a joint statement.
“Your love, support and appreciation meant so very much to her and was a sustaining gift in her life,” the statement added.
Gaynor worked for almost eight decades, juggling her film, television, and onstage career.
Some of her famous works include, 'We’re Not Married!' There’s No Business Like Show Business, and most popularly known for 'South Pacific.'
