TEHRAN, IRAN: Mojtaba Khamenei on Saturday, July 18, launched a furious attack on the United States, branding Washington the “Great Satan” and declaring that Donald Trump’s signature is “worthless” after Iran accused the US of repeatedly violating a deal between the two countries.

In a sharply worded message, Iran's new supreme leader accused the Trump administration of coercion, brutality, and dishonesty, claiming the latest US actions had exposed the “true face” of America.

His remarks came as the fragile understanding between Washington and Tehran appeared to unravel amid a fresh wave of US strikes and Iranian retaliation.

Mojtaba Khamenei unleashes attack on Trump

In a lengthy post on X, Mojtaba Khamenei said the latest escalation had exposed what he described as the “true, unmasked face” of the "Great Satan" United States.

Referring to what he called repeated breaches of an agreement between Iran and the US, Mojtaba Khamenei wrote that the “signature of the US President is utterly worthless and devoid of credibility.”

He went on to accuse Washington of following a doctrine built on “coercion, totalitarianism, and brutality,” describing the latest developments as another example of American “dishonesty, irrationality, unreliability, and malicious nature.”

Khamenei said the alleged breaches had once again demonstrated that the United States could not be trusted, while praising what he described as the “valor of the Islamic fighters” and the courage of people in Iran's southern regions.

He also urged Iranians to remain “vigilant and active” to protect the interests of what he called “Islamic Iran.”

The post came as the US-Iran conflict continues to escalate and Washington maintains its military campaign against Iran.

The latest developments have also been accompanied by a sharp rise in hostile rhetoric and calls for assassination against Trump in Iran following the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in an Israeli airstrike on February 28.

US-Iran tensions explode

The latest clash marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing US-Iran conflict.

US Central Command said American forces targeted surveillance sites, military logistics hubs, underground weapons storage facilities, and maritime capabilities.

CENTCOM also confirmed that the US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz is once again being fully enforced.

Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes aimed at US facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

The attacks have heightened fears that the conflict could widen across the Middle East, with American bases and installations in nearby countries increasingly coming under threat.

On Saturday, CENTCOM confirmed that two US service members were killed while defending against Iranian attacks in Jordan on Friday.

Another American service member remains missing. The identities of the service members have not yet been released.
