Mojtaba Khamenei claims ‘enemy fracture’ among US allies after Trump’s remarks on infighting
TEHRAN, IRAN: Iran’s new supreme leader has slammed President Donald Trump, claiming “enemy fracture” among US allies.
Mojtaba Khamenei posted the statement on X (formerly Twitter) in response to the POTUS' mention of infighting among Iran's leaders.
Mojtaba Khamenei says Iran's enemies 'will become more wretched and diminished'
The son of the late Ali Khamenei wrote, “Due to the strange unity created among compatriots, a fracture has occurred in the enemy. With the practical gratitude for this blessing, cohesion has become even greater and more steel-like, and the enemies will become more wretched and diminished.”

“The enemy's media operations, by targeting the minds and psyches of the people, intend to undermine national unity and security; may our negligence not allow this sinister intent to come to fruition,” added Mojtaba, who became the third supreme leader of Tehran following his father’s death in February during a US attack.
Trump claims Iran is struggling to find out 'who their leader is'
His response came after Trump on Truth Social had posted, “Iran is having a very hard time figuring out who their leader is! They just don’t know! The infighting is between the ‘Hardliners,’ who have been losing BADLY on the battlefield, and the ‘Moderates,’ who are not very moderate at all (but gaining respect!), and it is CRAZY!”
The Republican leader had also claimed that the Strait of Hormuz has been totally under the control of the US.
“No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is ‘Sealed up Tight,’ until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL!!!” he added.

Trump calls Iran's government 'seriously fractured'
This came as the two countries have been unable to reach a deal. Earlier this week, Trump even extended the ceasefire until Iran's “leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal.”

Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our Attack on… pic.twitter.com/NQBC0pzgOh
In a Truth Social post, he called the government of Iran “seriously fractured” and added that “I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able, and will therefore extend the Ceasefire until such time as their proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other.”
But Mahdi Mohammadi, an advisor to the speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, fired back, saying, “Trump's ceasefire extension means nothing. The losing side cannot dictate terms. The continuation of the siege is no different from bombardment and must be met with a military response. The time for Iran to take the initiative has come.”
