Morgan Wallen made an unexpected departure from 'Saturday Night Live’s traditional closing sequence, deviating from the usual routine. 

While he did take a moment to wave to the audience and share a brief hug with host Mikey Madison, Wallen then broke protocol by quickly exiting the stage.

Instead of joining the cast for the usual post-show camaraderie, he walked directly into the audience and past the camera, marking a rare and bold move that 'SNL' fans couldn’t recall seeing before, as per Variety. 

As fans took notice and shared videos of his abrupt exit, Wallen later posted an Instagram story showing a photo of his private jet on the tarmac in New York, with the caption, “Get me to God's country.” 

This performance marked his first appearance on 'SNL' since a career-altering incident in early 2021, when he was caught on video using the N-word in a controversial context.

During his latest appearance on 'Saturday Night Live', Wallen performed two tracks from his upcoming album, as per People.

He first graced the stage with 'I’m the Problem', followed by a second performance of 'Just in Case', also from the highly anticipated LP, set for release on May 16. 

While many fans speculated about the reason behind his abrupt exit, a source close to Wallen clarified that the country superstar had a great time on the show and never intended to cause any offense with his swift departure. 

The insider explained that his exit was simply in line with how he came and went from the New York City studio throughout the week during rehearsals and camera blocking. 

The source further emphasized that Wallen didn’t give much thought to how his actions might be perceived by others, insisting that there was no drama behind the moment.
