LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent segment on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe,' co-host Willie Geist dissected Donald Trump's fervent four-minute tirade against Robert F Kennedy Jr, signaling what many on the show interpreted as a palpable fear of Kennedy's potential impact on the upcoming presidential race.

The video, originally posted on Truth Social, showed Trump's intense criticism of the third-party presidential hopeful, particularly lambasting him for not adhering to Trump's own anti-vaccine stance.

Donald Trump's warning to Republicans: 'Don't vote based on conservatism'

Trump said in his rant, “Get it out of your mind that you’re going to vote for this guy because he’s conservative. He’s not.”

Trump implored Republicans not to support Kennedy, dismissing him as not truly "anti-vaxxer" and asserting that his candidacy would lead to the swift collapse of the nation.

“He’s not really an anti-vaxxer, that’s only his political moment,” Trump added. “I’d even take Biden over Junior because our country would last about a year or two longer … We would collapse almost immediately.”

Trump labeled Kennedy's family as "radical left" and "a bunch of lunatics," indicating a deep-seated animosity toward the Kennedy clan.

Geist, analyzing the segment, remarked on Trump's inability to conceal his fear, suggesting that the former president's overt hostility towards Kennedy was a clear indicator of his concerns regarding Kennedy's growing influence.

Claire McCaskill says Trump has never been good at 'hiding his fear'

This sentiment was shared by fellow contributor Claire McCaskill, who noted that recent polls have shown Kennedy making significant inroads in battleground states, posing a potential threat to both Trump and President Biden.

"According to Trump, Kennedy isn’t anti-vaccine enough," Geist said after playing the video on air. "This comes as recent polls show Kennedy taking a sizable bite away from both Trump and President Biden in several battleground states."

Geist continued, saying that the former president "has never been good at hiding his fear, and now we see it out in the open," which received a chuckle from 'Morning Joe' regular contributor Claire McCaskill.

Trump "is very worried about Robert F Kennedy Jr," Geist added. "By the way, we should point out that Donald Trump’s administration led Operation Warp Speed, which was a medical miracle, thank God, to get the vaccines into the arms of people and save lives," he said.

"Remember when Trump still talked about developing the vaccine at rallies, and he got booed and finally figured out that this is a place that the cult was not going to go with him," McCaskill chimed in, adding that "he’s worried," about the election.

Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden worred about RFK

McCaskill noted what she found the most surprising was Trump’s acknowledgment that RFK Jr would be worse for the country than Biden, which was a “momentary fail in his normal way of communicating.”

“I think both Biden and Trump are worried about RFK,” McCaskill said.

The discussion on "Morning Joe" further delved into Trump's history with vaccine development, recalling his administration's leadership in Operation Warp Speed.

However, McCaskill pointed out that Trump's initial enthusiasm for vaccine development was met with disapproval from his supporters, highlighting a growing divide within his base on the issue.

Trump's remarks about RFK sparks a social media storm

Social media erupted in response to Donald Trump's surprising admission, with users expressing a range of opinions on the implications of his statement.

One user wrote, "Even Trump admitted he'd vote for Biden!!! Donald is voting Blue this year."

Another said, "Donald Trump accusing someone of lying is like the pot calling the kettle back."

One user commented, "Trump is just lashing out because he knows he is toast maga tears inbound."

Another said, "TRump is so DESPERATE! He made no sense at all but he never does."

One user wrote, "I love that he said he would rather vote for Joe Biden - he just gave republicans who were thinking about RJK Jr to vote BLUE!! Let’s go!"
