‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ was one of the biggest box office hits of 2005. It not only added more feathers to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s portfolios but also marked the beginning of their love story, which tragically ended eventually. Now, Francesca Sloane and Donald Glover have come up with a series of ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, releasing on Prime Video on February 2, almost two decades after the film.

1. Angelina Jolie

Jolie was Jane Smith in the 2005 movie. At the time, she was already an established actress, who had received an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for ‘Girl, Interrupted’ in 1999. The actress went on to reach great heights following the movie as she worked in films like ‘Maleficent’ (2014) and ‘Eternals’ (2021). She also continued doing her humanitarian work.

2. Maya Erskine

Maya Erskine became popular after working on Hulu’s ‘Pen15’. She is also known for her works in ’Wine Country’, ‘Man Seeking Woman’, and Mizu in 'Blue Eye Samurai'. In the new series, she will take over the role of Jane Smith.

3. Brad Pitt

Like Jolie, Pitt had also already tasted success thanks to ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, ‘Twelve’, and ‘Troy’ when he bagged the role of John Smith in ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’. The two-time Oscar-winning actor has only seen success since then in his work, although he suffered a massive setback in his personal life that saw him and Jolie feuding horrifically after their marriage failure.

4. Donald Glover

Apart from being the creator of the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ series, Donald Glover is also taking on the titular role of John Smith. The 40-year-old’s other notable works include ‘Atlanta’, which won an Emmy, ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’, ‘The Martian’, and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

5. John Turturro

John Turturro will be seen playing Eric Shane in the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ series. The 66-year-old is a famed actor and filmmaker whose earlier works include ‘Transformers’,’ ‘The Batman’, ‘Do the Right Thing’, and ‘The Big Lebowski’.

6. Paul Dano

The ‘L.I.E.’ fame actor and award winner will be seen as a "Hot Neighbor" in the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ series. He was earlier seen playing important roles in ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, ‘There Will Be Blood’, ‘The Sopranos’, and ‘12 Years a Slave’.

7. Sarah Paulson

Sarah Paulson was recently seen in the Emmy Award-winning show ‘The Bear’. The 49-year-old actress has also showcased her craft in the ‘American Horror Story’ universe by appearing in 95 of its 129 episodes. As per reports, in the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ series, she will take on the role of the Smiths’ long-suffering therapist.

8. Ron Perlman

The veteran actor has appeared in several noteworthy films, like ‘Hellboy’, ‘The Baker’, ‘Alien Resurrection’, and ‘Don't Look Up’. Perlman will reportedly be seen as Toby Hellinger in ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’.
