Joe Alwyn is mainly known for being a handsome British actor and Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend. He, nevertheless, has another identity as well. During his six-year-long relationship with the 'Cruel Summer' singer, Alwyn partnered with her to compose six songs. He collaborated with Swift for three of her albums - 'Folklore', 'Evermore' and 'Midnight'. He even received a Grammy for his collaboration with Swift on her 'Folklore'. Alwyn used to co-write the songs with his pseudonym William Bowery, per The Things. Let's take a look at the songs Joe Alwyn co-wrote with Taylor Swift.
1. 'Betty' from 'Folklore' (2020)

One of the first songs Taylor Swift collaborated with her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn is 'Betty' from 'Folklore'. When Swift heard the British actor singing the chorus of the song, she decided to collaborate with him as they were quarantined together during the pandemic. Swift shared during an interview for the Disney+ documentary 'Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions', “There’s nothing else going on," she recalled asking Alwyn, "Could we just try to see what it's like if we write this song together?"
2. 'Exile' from 'Folklore' (2020)
Joe Alwyn's skills with piano inspired the 'Lover' singer to collaborate with her then partner for 'Exile'. In the Disney+ documentary, Swift revealed that Alwyn wrote the entire "piano part" for the album. Swift recalled, “Joe plays piano beautifully, and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things." The lyrics were recorded by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, but not before Alwyn impressed Swift with his musical skills, as the songstress explained, “He was just singing it the way that the whole first verse is,” before adding, “I was entrenched and asked if we could keep writing that one.”
3. 'Champagne Problems' from 'Evermore' (2020)

'Evermore' marks the second album in which Alwyn had a collaboration with the 14-times Grammy-winning singer. He contributed to the song as William Bowery. Though the song depicts the story of a pair of lovers with different plans for the same night, Swift revealed it wasn't their story.
4. 'Coney Island' from 'Evermore' (2020)

'Coney Island' from 'Evermore' is the second song from the same album where 'The Favourite' star penned lyrics. He collaborated with Aaron and Bryce Dessner from the band The National to compose the song about lost love.
5. 'Evermore' from 'Evermore' (2020)
The former couple were co-lyricists for the eponymous song from the 'Evermore' album as well. Swift shared with Zane Lowe in an interview that her vocals for 'Evermore' were based on Alwyn's piano melody.
6. 'Sweet Nothing' from 'Midnight' (2022)

'Sweet Nothing' from the 'Lavender Haze' singer's 2022 album 'Midnight' marks the last collaboration between the former pair. The song talked about finding solace with one's lover after being under the constant public gaze.
