NBA star Kyle Kuzma proposes to Winnie Harlow with exquisite 8.5-carat diamond ring

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Winnie Harlow is ready to walk down the aisle with NBA star Kyle Kuzma after the couple took a major step in their relationship. 

On February 13, after four years of dating, the model and Milwaukee Bucks player got engaged. The couple began their romance in April 2020, when Harlow moved to Los Angeles to be with Kuzma.

Over the years, they’ve supported each other’s careers and built a strong bond, culminating in this exciting new chapter in 2025. This recent engagement announcement came just days after Este Haim flaunted her ring while wearing an 'I'm taken' tee.

The happy couple shared their exciting news with fans through a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, February 18. Winnie Harlow and Kyle Kuzma posted a series of photos, captured on a plane in a carousel.

The first image captured the couple sharing a tender kiss after their engagement, eyes closed in serene affection, as Harlow proudly showcased her ring while resting her hand on Kuzma's cheek.

In the second photo, Kuzma holds Harlow’s hand, her engagement ring on full display. The third image captures Harlow sitting on Kuzma’s lap as he kisses her cheek.

In the next shot, Harlow stands in front of a plane adorned with red roses, while the following image captures the couple sharing a joyful laugh inside the beautifully decorated aircraft.

The final photo shows them walking toward their villa, which features an indoor swimming pool, where they were surprised to find both of their families waiting to celebrate the moment.

For the proposal occasion, Kyle, who plays as a power forward and small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, wore an all-black ensemble, while Harlow donned an elegant all-red trench coat paired with silk pants, perfectly complementing the red roses.

The couple also opened up to Vogue magazine about the intimate proposal. They were on a vacation in Turks and Caicos when Kuzma chartered a private plane for the occasion, filling it with red roses, balloons, chocolates, and champagne.

While Harlow thought all the romantic touches were part of a Valentine's Day surprise, Kuzma had something even more special in mind. As the plane took off, Kuzma invited Harlow to sit beside him and listen to the poem he had written for her. "For a split second in my head I thought, 'This would be so cute if this was an engagement,' But I’m also not the type of person who wants to guess or wants to spoil a surprise. So it just was a fleeting thought in my head," Harlow admitted.

He then recited the final line of the poem: "Will you marry me?" confirming her hunch. Kuzma presented her with an 8.5-carat, oval-cut diamond ring that he designed himself over three months, with no prior input from Harlow.

"I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything. I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her — something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time," he shared with Vogue.

After landing on the Caribbean island, Harlow was surprised again when she found both their families waiting to join the celebration in their villa. The families enjoyed a lavish dinner on the beach, capped off with a stunning fireworks display. The newly engaged couple expressed that they are "over the moon" and excited to plan their wedding.
