NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Conservative commentator Candace Owens openly slammed Ben Shapiro, accusing him of making false claims about her statements concerning the death of Charlie Kirk. She called out Shapiro for claiming that she had accused Erika Kirk of being involved in Kirk’s death. She expressed her frustration after Shapiro made these statements to Megyn Kelly.

Candace Owen's post against Ben Shapiro

Candace, a former member of Turning Point USA, took to X on Friday, November 7, slamming the conservative commentator.

She wrote, “He said that I accused Erika Kirk of murdering Charlie Kirk. This quite literally is made up out of thin air.” She added that she was looking forward to his response on her show.

Seeming to agree with a fan who said that Shapiro could only ‘smear and misrepresent’ people's character, she wrote, “That is beyond smearing. He tried to pressure Megyn Kelly to make a statement about me by lying through his teeth and EXPLICITLY stating that I accused Erika Kirk of killing her husband."

She added, "And then saying it was an evil that Megyn had to condemn. He is completely deranged.”

Ben Shapiro's statement that irked Candace Owens

Shapiro, appearing on 'The Megyn Kelly Show', had said about Owens, “…I think you and I differ on our angle with regard to, for example, Candace Owens. I think that what Candace Owens is doing right now is evil. It is evil what she is doing right now, OK? And I say that, again.”

He continued, “…if this were on the left and somebody were accusing Charlie Kirk of his wife having murdered him, I assume that you would be talking about it,” asking Kelly to weigh in on the matter.

Although Owens did not directly accuse Erika Kirk following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, she promoted several conspiracy theories about the tragic event.

One such claim was that TPUSA was involved in the cover-up, along with an Israeli involvement in the assassination, although she provided no evidence to support these claims.

Erika, the current CEO of TPUSA, while speaking to Fox News’ Jesse Watters after Kirk’s death, addressed the conspiracy theories and AI-generated content, saying, “Please pray and consider and think about whatever you put online, because it'll impact their kids in the future.”

Erika continued, “Some grace would be nice.”

Kirk was fatally shot and killed during a public debate event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Authorities have arrested Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah native, and charged him with murder in the case. If he's found guilty, Robinson could get the death penalty.
