Are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito starring in a sequel?

Initially, there was a plan for a sequel to ‘Twins’ by the name ‘Triplets’. It would have followed the storyline that the twins would come to know about the existence of a third brother who was separated from them at birth.

Apart from Schwarzenegger and DeVito, Eddie Murphy and Tracy Morgan were also roped in for the project.

The project, nevertheless, got shelved after the original director Ivan Reitman died at 75 in February 2022.

Reitman was scheduled to return with the sequel, per People

After Reitman’s death, Schwarzenegger shared with The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023 that the ‘Twins’ sequel was shelved as Reitman's son Jason Reitman "literally stopped the project when his father died."

However, the ‘FUBAR’ star also said that he and DeVito were developing a separate project instead that would have marked their third collaboration on-screen. Ivan Reitman’s 1994 film ‘Junior’ marks their second collaboration after ‘Twins’.
