Timeline of Nicholas McGee killing Kawsheen Gelzer

Law enforcement sources disclosed that McGee confessed to killing Kawsheen Gelzer, 39, whom he accused of being a sex offender. The shocking crime allegedly took place on March 22, 2022, 17 months earlier than initially believed by investigators.

According to McGee, the murder was fueled by a dispute over drugs and a history of perceived disrespect by Gelzer.

In an appalling revelation, McGee described slicing up Gelzer's body after a deadly struggle, which ensued after an initial attack with a kitchen knife. Gelzer, convicted of molesting a 12-year-old boy in 2005, had fallen asleep on McGee's couch, leading to the gruesome confrontation.

McGee allegedly claimed that Gelzer's disrespectful behavior and refusal to provide drugs triggered him and he "just snapped."

Disturbing aftermath of Kawsheen Gelzer's murder

During the horrifying incident, Gelzer reportedly begged for a reason, to which McGee callously responded, "Because you're a piece of s–t! And I'm sick of you!"

The alleged killer then rifled through Gelzer's pockets for drugs he had been denied, marking a macabre twist to the gruesome affair.

McGee and his wife, Heather Stines, 45, allegedly stole drugs from the deceased Gelzer's pockets and smoked them after the murder. The mutilated body was left in their apartment for days until signs of decomposition prompted the suspect to decide, "I got to cut this motherf–ker up," New York Post reported.

The couple then engaged in a gruesome dismemberment, using a small saw and placing most of the body in plastic bags inside a suitcase stored in their fridge.

Despite considering the disposal of the remains, the couple opted against it due to complications and the presence of other tenants in the busy building. McGee confessed to stashing the dismembered body, stating, "I put it in there and tried to forget about it."

The shocking revelation came to light when Stines, charged with concealment of a corpse after a psychiatric evaluation, allegedly divulged her husband's involvement in the crime. Nevertheless, McGee is anticipated to face murder charges in the coming days.
