PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Rap superstar Nicki Minaj praised Charlie Kirk’s organization while speaking at Turning Point USA’s 2025 AmericaFest, on Sunday, December 21.

She called the event more meaningful than any of her global concerts for its role in connecting young people to God. Minaj criticized what she described as anti-Christian attitudes in the US and abroad, urging leaders to respect religious freedom. Minaj also praised President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance while taking aim at California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Nicki Minaj warns anti-God leaders shouldn’t hold power

Nicki Minaj emphasized the significance of 'AmericaFest,' saying it outweighed any concert she has ever performed. “I’ve traveled the world. I’ve performed for huge crowds all around the world, and no matter how many songs I do on that stage, it didn’t mean as much as this, because this is a direct link between young people and God,” she said.

Minaj also criticized the lack of God in media and everyday conversations. “You know, interestingly enough, Christians have been persecuted right here in our country in different ways,” Minaj said.

“So, when we talk about Nigeria and other countries, know that prior administrations saw nothing wrong with that. And that’s what was wrong with that. We can’t let people like that be in power.”

She warned, "All you have to do is look at what is happening in other places in the world, look at what is being done to Christians all around the world, and ask yourself why people in this country that were in positions of power felt so comfortable top try to take our voices from us,”

“They are that afraid, they are that intimidated, they are that insecure, they are that small inside that hearing and seeing us worship God irritated them. Our spirit irritates them," she said. "When the truth walks in the room, the lies hide. They don’t come out willingly, you gotta pry it out of them."

She added, "They hide, because they don’t want you or anyone to know who they really are behind closed doors. Because even they know how evil it is to try to deprive people of worshiping God.”

Nick Minaj praises Trump administration at TPUSA event

During her appearance, Minaj praised President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, saying they make her “feel proud to be American” and calling the administration “full of people with heart and soul."

She added, "Both the President and Vice President are strong, powerful, smart men. Make us proud to be American.” She also criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom, declaring, “Dear Newscum, we don’t have a problem cleaning up the scum if we have to."

Turning Point USA surprised tens of thousands of 'AmericaFest' attendees by closing the event with Minaj, who has become increasingly outspoken on political issues.

Last month, she praised Trump for taking the “mass slaughter” of Christians in Nigeria by radical Islamists seriously.

A source familiar with the event’s planning told Breitbart News that Minaj’s participation was arranged after Kirk’s September 10 killing. Her decision to speak highlights how Kirk’s death has inspired figures outside traditional conservative circles to speak boldly about their beliefs, honoring the free speech martyr.

Turning Point USA’s annual end-of-year conference, the organization’s first AmericaFest since Kirk’s murder, drew over 30,000 attendees, making it the largest event in TPUSA’s history.
