WASHINGTON, DC: Rapper Nicki Minaj stirred social media on Wednesday after posting a photo of a Trump Gold Card on X, revealing she is “finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak.” The announcement came after the musician publicly defended President Donald Trump earlier in the day at the Trump Accounts Summit.

Minaj’s public endorsement marks a rare high-profile celebrity alignment with Trump ahead of the 2026 election cycle, drawing attention from both entertainment and political circles.

Hours after praising the president at the summit on January 28, Minaj shared a photo of her Trump Gold Card on X with the caption, “Welp."



The image, showing her multicolored nails and a portion of her white coat, appeared to be taken that same day.

The Trump Gold Card is part of a federal visa program designed to grant residency to individuals deemed to provide substantial benefit to the United States. Applicants must submit a $15,000 nonrefundable Department of Human Services (DHS) processing fee, according to official sources.



After the post went viral with over 5.2 million views, Minaj clarified her status further, "Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment. Gold Trump card free of charge," she wrote in a second post.

The White House amplified the post by retweeting it with the comment: “oh she's super BASED,” linking to the official Trump card website. 



Nicki Minaj calls herself Trump’s No. 1 fan at Accounts Summit

At the summit, Minaj identified herself as “probably the president’s No. 1 fan,” stating her commitment to supporting Trump regardless of critics.

She also pledged between $150,000 and $300,000 to the Trump Accounts initiative, a government-backed program providing tax-advantaged savings accounts for children born between 2025 and 2028.
