PHOENIX, ARIZONA: In a stunning courtroom spectacle that drew widespread mockery, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, once a prominent figure in Donald Trump's legal team, unleashed a rambling tirade during his arraignment in Arizona on charges related to the "fake electors" scheme.

The chaotic scene, which unfolded during a virtual hearing, saw the presiding judge struggle to maintain order as Giuliani launched into accusations of political persecution, forcing the frustrated judge to threaten to mute the former mayor's microphone, per Daily Mail.

During the online hearing, Giuliani's outbursts and attacks on the prosecution led the judge to threaten to mute him. The prosecution sought a $10,000 cash bond, which Giuliani strongly opposed.

"Mr. Giuliani, I don't want to mute you, but I need to move on," the judge reprimanded.

Giuliani was given 30 days to turn himself in for arrest. The court allowed him to provide a secured bond due to his financial hardships and ongoing bankruptcy. Despite his attacks on the indictment and complaints about his financial situation, the judge allowed Giuliani to speak at length.

"I've been sued about 20 to 25 times by a very similar movement to this one, which is the, let's see what we can do to destroy Donald Trump," Giuliani lamented.

He described the indictment as "a complete embarrassment to the American legal system" and insisted he had shown no intent to evade legal proceedings. The judge attempted to interject multiple times, acknowledging his stance but urging him to comply with the court's process.

The state attorney general's prosecutor, Nicholas Klingerman, alleged that Giuliani's conduct amounted to ridiculing or treating the judicial system with contempt.

Prosecutors noted they had difficulty locating him and eventually tracked him down at an 80th birthday event in Florida. Giuliani defended himself, claiming he had been transparent about his whereabouts.

"I've been on the radio, on television, and the radio every day since this indictment started announcing where I am, so I haven't been hiding from anyone," Giuliani asserted.

He blamed security issues at his New York apartment for any difficulty in serving him. "I have a fair number of threats, including death threats," he said, mentioning he no longer had a security detail due to his bankruptcy. Giuliani labeled the $10,000 cash bond as "totally punitive."

Despite the contentious back-and-forth, the judge allowed Giuliani to continue his tirade but ultimately threatened to cut his mic if he carried on. At the end of the hearing, Giuliani appeared confused about the process for posting the bond and arranging his surrender, further adding to the chaotic nature of the proceedings.
