AUSTRALIA: Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey have reportedly decided to part ways after dating each other for around two years.
The ex-pair shared a joint statement, saying, “We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future.”

They further stated, “We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journeys on different paths,” before adding, “We won't be commenting further on this, and really appreciate your respect and privacy at this time.”
It has been said that the two had been romantically involved since November 2022 but confirmed their relationship on Instagram only in August last year.
The actual reason behind their split has yet to be determined but there was a time when the 20-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin was “very serious” about Rorie, who is the niece of late Aussie actor Heath Ledger.

“Robert is crazy about her and is planning something unforgettable when he formally proposes. They both know it is part of their plans so he's been dreaming up special ways to make it a surprise,” they noted.

‘They are too young to be committed to someone’
Meanwhile, Robert and Rorie’s breakup has garnered some attention online with a person writing on Facebook, “No surprise at all really. She became more popular than Bindi and Terri, so the knives were out and her days numbered the day she started working at Australia Zoo.”
Another person shared, “They are young, it very rarely works out at that age yet alone whilst in the spotlight.”
“Why is this news? They are both very young & too young to be committed to someone permanently,” the third one said.
The fourth user mentioned, “OMG! They are both so young, who thought this would last forever? They will both have plenty of partners before they find the one true love. Leave them alone for goodness sake!”
“Oh for goodness sake he is only a kid how many girlfriends and/or boyfriends did we all have before we settled on ( the one) for some of us some are still looking he is only a kid,” the fifth one added.
