NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene once again faced online backlash as she claimed that Americans wanted Donald Trump back in the White House.

She supported her argument by sharing a recent MSNBC poll analysis clip, where the presenter stated that in the case of a general election between Trump and the incumbent President Joe Biden, the former leads in the poll by 5 points. Back in November 2023, however, the lead was only 2 points.

"It is more significant if you look at this this way," continued the presenter. "Overtime, we have been testing for 5 years now, going back to 2019, a Biden-Trump match-up."

"In 2019-2020, Joe Biden led big in every single one of our polls. For the first time in November (2023), Donald Trump polled ahead in our poll. And now at 5 points, this is the biggest lead NBC has ever had in 16 polls for Donald Trump over Joe Biden."

He went on to show the approval rating of Joe Biden hanging low at 37%, while the disapproval rate loomed high at 60%.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Taking to the social media platform on February 4, the Georgia Representative went on a short rant, slamming the Biden administration over a number of issues including the border crisis, Green New Deal, inflation, and gender debate.

"America wants Pres Trump back because of Democrat’s dangerous open border and migrant first policies on the American taxpayers dime, expensive no-energy scam green new deal forced compliance, DEI woke and trans insanity, and Bidenflation is making everyone broke!" she wrote.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Social media users slammed MTG for her take and disavowed Trump, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"We don’t want Trump back," wrote a user.

Another stated, "He’s done. And so are you. We’re done with your lies. We’re done with your petty games. The time of MAGA is over. #MAGAisDEAD."

"No we don't traitor!!! We don't need a dictator!!!" echoed a third.

"Polls said there would be a Red Tsunami in 2020, how'd that work out ?" mocked a fourth user.

A fifth used a gif stating, "When hell freezes over," to express their sentiment.
