'It’s strange': Half brother Navarone Garibaldi 'trash talks' about Lisa Marie Presley
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent Instagram Live session, Navarone Garibaldi, the half-brother of the late Lisa Marie Presley, expressed his complex feelings towards her.
"You’re entitled to your opinion [about Lisa Marie]," he acknowledged, recognizing that while some may have positive memories of her, his own experiences contrast.
Navarone Garibaldi, Lisa Marie Presley's brother says he doesn't miss her
The 36-year-old son of Priscilla Presley and Marco Garibaldi reportedly said on Instagram Live, “I’m sure she was good to some."
"I have made peace. I’m not gonna lie and say I miss her, but I’ll say it’s strange,” he revealed as reported by the Sun.
Garibaldi encountered criticism from some viewers for his comments, with one, according to the Sun, noting that he was "trash-talking" about his sister.
In response, he defended his statements, saying, “I didn’t talk trash, all I did was speak the truth.”
He admitted that he sometimes reacts impulsively to questions, leading to unfiltered responses.
“But sometimes I get egged on when people ask me questions and I just blurt out the first thing that comes to my mind,” he explained. “It’s not like I plan on it, just can’t help myself.”
Navarone Garibaldi said Lisa Marie would tell mom about his pot-smoking
Garibaldi mentioned that he wasn't a heavy drinker but expressed a preference for "smoking pot." He elaborated, saying, "I would find a secluded spot in the middle of nowhere, smoke a quick joint, and then return to the hotel."
However, upon returning to the hotel, he received a phone call questioning, "Were you just smoking pot in Central Park?" Surprised, he asked, "How did you find out?" to which he was informed, "Well, I had my security guard follow you. I'm calling Mom right now."
"Then I'd get a call from Mom, ‘Were you just smoking pot in Central Park?'" He continued, "Then she [Lisa Marie] would drink, and she'd kind of look around the room and say, ‘Errrr, you’... then she'd decide to go off and tell you everything that's wrong with you and your life."
He mentioned, "It was pretty destructive. I never got angry like that; I never said anything I didn't mean when I smoked pot, but she would say really awful things to me that kind of kept us from being close when she would drink."
Garibaldi's recent remarks contrast with earlier statements about Lisa Marie Presley
These recent remarks contrast sharply with Garibaldi’s initial tribute to his sister following her death in January.
He expressed hope that she found peace alongside their father, Elvis Presley, and her late son, Benjamin Keough.

Despite recognizing their strained relationship, he extended love and prayers for her journey, expressing, "I know the past couple of years weren't easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us."
"Regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home,” he wrote. “I still can’t believe this, I’m lost for words. Love you, sis. Beijos.”
