'Not making a rock album': Lady Gaga delights fans with sneak peeks of new music project and exciting film role

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Lady Gaga eagerly awaited glimpses of their favorite star working on her upcoming music project.

Sharing images of herself playing both piano and guitar, Gaga sparked excitement among her followers on Wednesday, February 14th.

Having previously tantalized fans with hints of new music, Lady Gaga has now clarified that her upcoming work will not be in the rock genre, per People.

"No I’m not making a rock album," Gaga wrote alongside the image.

In addition to her music endeavors, Gaga will star as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix's 'Joker: Folie á Deux.' This musical thriller, slated for release in October, serves as a sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning film 'Joker.'

Gaga collaborated with The Rolling Stones on their latest album, 'Hackney Diamonds,' contributing to the track titled 'Sweet Sounds of Heaven,' which also features Stevie Wonder.

She released her last album ‘Chromatica’ in 2020. The house-inspired LP became her sixth consecutive No. 1 album and featured her record-breaking collaboration with Ariana Grande, 'Rain on Me.'

Lady Gaga was also present at the premiere of Bradley Cooper's new Leonard Bernstein biopic, ‘Maestro’, where she “seemed off,” RadarOnline.com reported.

An eyewitness told the publication that the ‘House of Gucci’ star “was inserting herself into photos with Bradley and Carey Mulligan as if Gaga were a part of the film.”

The onlooker added, “People looked shocked, and Carey seemed confused.”

"Though Gaga has always been eccentric, some people close to her say she seems different in recent months, almost as if she’s had a secret breakdown,” another source shared.

“She’s pulled away from friends and has been spending most of her time alone when she’s not with her boyfriend, Michael Polansky,” it added.

The source disclosed that some months earlier, Gaga “confessed to a friend that she felt a bit lost in her career.”

“She’s been so successful in all of her endeavors, but she’s felt a little lost in the landscape of the music industry,” they stated.

Last year, Gaga was praised by Adele during one of her Las Vegas residency events. "I've spent a bit of time with her, but I rate her so hard," Adele told THR.

She added, "I was like, 'The show's terrible. It's rubbish. I'm singing terribly. I'm not funny. My dress is rubbish this week,'" she recalled, as reported by PageSix.

"I was judging myself. And she's not like that. But she made me really, really nervous."
