LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Annette Bening and Jodie Foster recently recalled the time when they both wore the same dress to Oscars.

The actresses have recently worked in Netflix’s biopic titled ‘Nyad’ and attended the Aero Theatre for the American Cinematheque. Both Bening and Foster have been nominated for Oscars for portraying the roles of Diana Nyad and Bonnie Stoll in the movie, respectively.

Talking about Foster working on the biopic, Bening said that she thought Foster won't do it. “Oh, she’ll never do it. Because she’s selective, and she’s got class, and she doesn’t know me,” Bening said. “[She’s] lazy…,” responded Foster.

Annette Bening and Jodie Foster recall wearing similar dress to Oscars

Recalling the moment the two actresses wore the same dress to the Oscars, Jodie Foster said, “We were both at the Oscars at the same time and we were both wearing the same dress, or some version of the same dress. And it was like an international incident!”

“I got a call and they were like, ‘You’re going to be wearing the same dress!’ I was like, ‘I don’t give a s**t.’ And Annette said, ‘Well I don’t care either.’ And then we both went, and it was just fine. We all lived. Nobody died," she added.

“That was our connection!” Bening added while laughing, reports Variety.

When asked whether the two may wear the same outfit once again at the Oscars on March 10, Bening joked, “Let’s do it!”

Jodie Foster on aging

Jodie Foster recently talked about aging, and said, "I think it’s an age thing because I felt these huge shifts the day I turned 30 and the day I turned 60. And 60 was the best shift of all because I was struggling in my 50s."

Foster, who became famous as a child star, recalled wondering whether she would "do anything meaningful again" in her 50s and described "that awkward phase where everybody who’s in their late 40s or 50s is very busy getting all plumped and shooting s--- into their face."

"I didn’t want that life," she said before adding, "But I also knew that I couldn’t compete with my old self. So my 50s were tough."
