LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Several actors from 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' expressed their heartfelt memories of their late co-star Andre Braugher through social media posts on Tuesday, December 12.

Braugher's death on Monday, December 11, at the age of 61 after a brief illness was confirmed by his publicist, as reported by The New York Times. Renowned for his portrayal of the beloved Capt Raymond Holt on the popular comedy series, Braugher was an Emmy-winning actor who left a lasting impact on television and film.

Alongside his memorable roles in 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and 'Homicide: Life On The Street,' Braugher's career spanned across a diverse array of productions, including appearances in 'Glory,' 'Kojak,' 'Hack,' 'House MD,' 'City of Angels,' 'Frequency,' 'Poseidon,' 'Primal Fear,' 'Duets,' 'The Mist,' 'Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer,' 'Salt,' and 'The Gambler,' among others.

Terry Crews, who played Lt Terry Jeffords on 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' alongside Braugher, was the first cast member to post a tribute on social media.

"Can't believe you're gone so soon. I'm honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent," Crews wrote.

"You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you."
