"You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you."
Crews highlighted Braugher's wisdom, advice, kindness and friendship. "Deepest condolences to your wife and family in this difficult time," he added.

2. Dirk Blocker
Dirk Blocker portrayed Sgt Michael Hitchcock on the hit sitcom. "Andre was fiercely intelligent, remarkably kind, supportive, generous and possessed a deep and extraordinary talent, and had even more to offer," Blocker wrote.
"I am devastated. I love him. The 9 years I was able to work with him and to just be in his presence was truly a blessing." Blocker also offered his "heartfelt condolences" to Braugher's family.

Joe Lo Truglio played the lovable Det Charles Boyle on the show. In an emotional post, Truglio described Braugher as a powerful actor who understood the cultural importance of playing NYPD Capt Raymond Holt.
