However, she was later diagnosed with cancer after her OB-GYN, Dr Thais Aliabadi, calculated her breast cancer risk assessment score.
Throughout her recovery, Mulaney took on the role of a dedicated caregiver for their now two-year-old son Malcolm.
“I don't think that he had a moment to himself this past year between being an incredibly hands-on father to Malcolm and then going to and from the hospital,” Munn shared.
“I mean, this is what John's life was like, truly, through four surgeries over 10 months," the 'X-Men' actress recalled how Mulaney was a "hands-on" father.
"He was literally taking Malcolm to the park, to music class, coming home, giving him lunch, putting him to nap, driving over to Cedars Sinai, hanging out with me, bringing me food, going back home, playing with Malcolm, putting him to bed, coming back to Cedar Sinai…And then he's got his work," she said.

Olivia Munn recalls how John Mulaney made her 'laugh too hard' during her challenging journey
Despite the challenges, Munn acknowledged the humor her partner brought into their lives during difficult times.
However, the comedic talents of Mulaney, whose show 'Everybody's in LA' is set to stream on Netflix on May 3, posed a challenge, especially during her post-surgery phase.
“It’s the best except when you’re just out of surgery and it hurts to move or even laugh,” said Munn.
“I made him leave the room a few times because he would make me laugh too hard," she added.
