LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO has formally revealed the release date for Season 22 of 'Real Time With Bill Maher', through a recap of all the popular episodes of 2023 concentrated in a one-minute clip titled 'Sanity Needs a Safe Space'. 

The upcoming installment of the renowned show is slated to air on January 19 from 10.00 to 11.00 pm ET/7.00 to 8.00 pm PT, with a rerun scheduled for the same night.

The January 5 clip showed all the snippets where Maher discussed various topics, some of them were about Republicans and Democrats waiting for their nominees to die, Trump's chances at running world from Mar-a-Lago while under house arrest, Young Americans showing support for Bin Laden, with the host criticizing white trash in Congress and rising prices, fanning the wokeness and liberalism - all under the episode title 'Sanity needs a safe space'.

The return of the show aligns with the usual schedule of 'Real Time', despite the unconventional nature of the past year.

'Real Time' faced episode disruptions over the summer due to issues with the Writers Guild of America. Maher initially proposed airing new episodes without a writing staff during stalled negotiations but faced immediate backlash.

Eventually, the late-night TV host reconsidered and backed down from the plan.
