LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel reportedly has a love-hate relationship with Matt Damon for years. During the 96th Academy Awards, the comedian continued his tradition of taking a jibe at the actor.
Kimmel hosted the 2024 Oscars and after the function concluded Sunday night, March 10, a dog named Messi, who starred in ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, was seen peeing on Damon's Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
The episode seemed to hint that the host of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ asked the 7-year-old border collie to execute that act, E! Online reported.

This came after Jimmy Kimmel mocked Matt Damon in an interview with CNN. “He is not nominated for an Oscar. He was in ‘Oppenheimer’ Everyone else was nominated except for him,” the host said.

Addressing the ‘Good Will Hunting’ star’s absence from this year's Oscars, he added, “What really happened? He couldn’t get a ticket. It’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard. He asked if he could come and they told him, 'Sorry, nominees only.’”

Jimmy Kimmel lauds Messi, the Dog
During the Oscars ceremony, Kimmel acknowledged Messi during his opening monologue.
He reportedly said, “Messi, who even though is a dog, may have given the performance of the year in Anatomy of a Fall.”
The 56-year-old writer said, “Messi has an overdose scene, if you’ve seen it you’ve known it. It’s incredible,” before adding, “Honestly I haven’t seen a French actor eat his own vomit like that since Gerard Depardieu.”
