LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: JK Rowling has once again triggered an online outrage after declaring that there are "no trans kids" on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, December 28.

Infamously labeled as a TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist), the 'Harry Potter' author has been the focus of such controversies over the last few years for her views on transgender rights, as per the Daily Mail.

JK Rowling claims no child is born in the wrong body

Taking to X, JK Rowling shared a comment made by an unnamed person who accused her of being hateful towards transgender children.

"I wish you would use your immense power for good. Your hateful focus on trans kids is hurtful and unnecessary," the remark read.

Instead of dialing down on her anti-trans rhetoric, the 59-year-old author hit back, writing, "There are no trans kids. No child is 'born in the wrong body'. There are only adults like you, prepared to sacrifice the health of minors to bolster your belief in an ideology that will end up wreaking more harm than lobotomies and false memory syndrome combined."

Rowling has previously spoken her mind on the subject and slammed trans people in the process. According to the Daily Mail, she criticized the expression "people who menstruate" and insisted that terms like "cis" to describe people who are not trans was "ideological language."

Earlier this year, she also took on Algerian female boxer and Olympic champion Imane Khelif for allegedly failing to meet gender eligibility criteria in the past, and called her a "male who knows he's protected by a misogynist sporting establishment."

Back in June 2020, Rowling claimed that she knew and "loved trans people," but felt that "erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives."

JK Rowling slammed for denying the existence of trans children

Netizens tore into JK Rowling over her recent remarks about trans children and transgender rights.

One sarcastically wrote, "It seems like there are tens of millions of them but ok," and another said, "Didn't realise my partner doesn't exist! I guess she never was a trans kid. like seriously. what do you say to the many people who transitioned younger and are living happy lives now?"

"I’m pretty sure it’s consensus amongst experts that have studied this for decades, that gender dysphoria is a real thing. But ok," a person remarked. Someone else noted, "Most transgender adults were once transgender children. Denying their existence doesn’t erase them, it does however make it harder for them to get the support and care they need."

"Isn’t that the same logic homophobic people used in the previous century against gays and lesbians? Jeez JK," another person jibed.

One more mocked Rowling, writing, "Maybe go write another book, or something else to keep you occupied. Your fixation on Trans is seriously troubling."
