LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pamela Anderson recently recalled the time when she "almost got killed" aboard a flight by a man who mistook her for a member of country music band The Chicks.

The 'Baywatch' star recounted the incident during a recent episode of the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast when asked which celebrity she’s been mistaken for, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Pamela Anderson recalled the incident and said, "This one time, I was on a flight and this guy came up to me and said, 'Do you know what this country's done for you?' And I was like, 'Oh, my God. What have I done?'"

Anderson explained that the unidentified man continued to snarl and glare at her whenever she turned to look back at him during the flight. She further mentioned that at one point, he had to be physically restrained because he attempted to hurt her, per the outlet.

The audience laughed as she said, "This stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack me. Yeah. And, end up, he thought I was a Dixie Chick. Remember that whole Dixie Chick thing? I almost got killed on a plane."

While Anderson did not reveal when the incident took place, the Chicks faced heavy backlash after singer Natalie Maines publicly condemned former president George Bush at a London concert in 2003.

The band was subsequently blacklisted by country radio stations following her remarks, as angry fans destroyed their albums, boycotted their tour, and sent the members death threats.

However, Anderson joked on the podcast that the incident with the man was "minor" but later admitted that the experience had rattled her.

She added, “I was scared to fly after that, a little bit.”

She added, "I just wanted it to be raw and real, and I was ready for that and prepared for that and excited about that."

Moreover, while preparing for daily shoots, Anderson revealed that she avoided mirrors entirely to stay focused on the role. She added, "I didn't want that to be in my head at all about the way that I looked, unless it was in the showgirl mirrors [in the movie]."

Anderson has received praise and award consideration for her performance in the film 'The Last Showgirl', directed by Gia Coppola. The project provided her with an opportunity to step into a deeper role, one she was eager to take on.

She said, as per WMA, "It was a rocky road. It was sent to an old agent of mine, who turned it down within five minutes."
