The insider stated that these personal projects have allowed Anderson to feel "like she’s finally getting the respect she deserves."

The catalyst for this transformation as the insider claimed was the tragic death of her makeup artist Alexis Vogel in 2019.

"Getting dolled up was part of her image for so long, but it wasn’t really her, and she was happy to ditch it," the source shared.

"Pamela has learned to embrace her natural beauty and she feels like the real Pamela is shining through," the insider added.

Pamela Anderson's shift away from Hollywood 'saved her life'

The 'Baywatch' star has found solace away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood as she now resides in her home country, Canada.

"It saved her life. It felt so good to get away from Hollywood. She loves being close to nature," the source explained.

Despite enduring five failed marriages, Panderson is still "a hopeless romantic," said the source.

"If someone comes along, she’s all for it. But she’s all about living in the moment," the insider added.

However, her return to acting remains uncertain. Anderson, who has felt sexualized in numerous roles, recently disclosed a negative experience during a guest appearance on 'Home Improvement'.

"On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe," Anderson wrote of Tim Allen.

"He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked," she added.

However, the 70-year-old actor denied her allegations as he said, "It never happened" and he would "never do such a thing."

The controversy drew attention, but Anderson clarified that she held no hard feelings, acknowledging the changing times with the #MeToo movement.

"Tim is a comedian, it’s his job to cross the line. I’m sure he had no bad intentions," the actress noted.

"Times have changed, though. I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It’s a new world," she added.
