In a video posted to Instagram, filmed by his daughter Maggie, Sajak takes viewers "behind the puzzle board," offering a glimpse into the inner workings of the set. “It looks like an election headquarters back here, with all these screens and everything,” Sajak quipped in the video. He added, with a touch of humor, “We can’t show a lot, because there’s certain things that are highly classified!”

Sajak's departure marks the end of an era for 'Wheel of Fortune', a show he has been synonymous with since 1981. His last episode is scheduled to air on June 7, marking a poignant moment in television history.

Ryan Seacrest is set to take over hosting duties when the show returns for a new season in the fall. Seacrest will join Vanna White, who has been the show’s beloved letter-turner since 1982.

Despite speculation that White might retire alongside Sajak, she has confirmed she will continue on the show, having signed a contract extension through the 2025-2026 season.

“I don’t know. When I heard that Pat was retiring, I thought maybe I should retire, too. But I’m not ready!” White told TV Insider. She expressed her ongoing passion for the job, saying, “We’ll see toward the end of those two years how I feel. I thank God after all these years that I still love my job.”

The game show's contract extension runs through the 2025-2026 season, so she, at the very least, has two more seasons to go.

“We’ll see toward the end of those two years how I feel,” she said. “I thank God after all these years that I still love my job.”
