KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs star QB, stirred up some serious buzz on social media recently. Fans were quick to spot that he had scrubbed a couple of posts mentioning rapper Sean Love Combs aka Diddy.

This move comes after Diddy's mansions in Miami and Los Angeles were searched in connection with a sex trafficking lawsuit.

On the other hand, Mahomes also sparked debate online during an award ceremony recently, when he couldn't resist teasing his teammate and friend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, about his age. He jokingly referred to him as the oldest member of the Kansas City Chiefs squad.

Recently, Mahomes's younger brother Jackson was also in the news, when he got into legal trouble. Jackson was sentenced to six months of probation after admitting to a misdemeanor charge of battery.

Patrick Mahomes deletes old posts with Diddy's mention

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Mahomes has taken down two of his old tweets from his X account (formerly Twitter) which mentioned Diddy. This move comes in the wake of serious allegations of sex trafficking against the rapper.

Mahomes seems keen on distancing himself from Diddy, especially after law enforcement raided Diddy's mansions in LA and Miami as part of the sex trafficking investigation. The Daily Mail detailed that both of the tweets Mahomes deleted were originally shared back in 2014. However, one of them wasn't directly linked to Diddy.

In one tweet, Mahomes wished a friend named @Pat_Day_75 his birthday, playfully calling him "P Diddy" - a nickname Diddy used from 2001 to 2004. Mahomes' tweet read, "@Pat_Day_75 happy Birthday P Diddy! #fam."

The other tweet was from February 2014 during the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, where Diddy performed alongside other big names like Snoop Dogg, and Pharrell.

Mahomes, who was a freshman at Texas Tech at the time, wrote: "Yeah p diddy!!" Despite these tweets being a decade old, Mahomes decided to remove them in light of the allegations surrounding Diddy.

Numerous readers online reacted to this movie, with one writing, "Deleting doesn’t equal disappearing, Patrick. Posts live FOREVER."
