Patrick Peterson calls Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship a 'flash in the pan'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: More than a year into their relationship, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still facing questions about their future together.
During an appearance on 'GOLF’s Subpar' podcast on November 12, former NFL cornerback Patrick Peterson was asked if he believed Swift, 34, and Kelce, 35, were "true love or a flash in the pan." Peterson, 34, didn’t hesitate to give his response: “Flash in the pan.”

Co-host Drew Stoltz pressed Patrick Peterson further, asking, “Not built to last? You don’t see that?” Peterson doubled down on his initial opinion, saying, “I don’t like talking about people’s relationships, but yeah, I think it’s a flash in the pan.”
Despite his skepticism, Peterson clarified that he wishes the couple the best. “We’ll see,” the eight-time Pro Bowler said. “I wish them the best. I hope it’s not.”
Stoltz, 40, also joked about the potential impact of the couple’s relationship on the Kansas City Chiefs, where Kelce plays. “That might be the only thing that could derail the Chiefs,” he said. The Chiefs, with a perfect 9-0 record this season, are aiming to make NFL history by becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
While Peterson expressed doubts, a source recently told 'Us Weekly' that Swift and Kelce’s relationship is still going strong. “They’re spending as much time together as possible while balancing their careers and individual responsibilities — his game and her music empire, along with personal projects,” the insider shared.
“They’re choosing not to dwell on the noise, focusing instead on staying true to themselves and being happy. They simply shrug off the stories. They see it as just another example of the press lifting someone up only to tear them down.”

As Taylor Swift’s 'Eras Tour' nears its conclusion in early December, the source added that the couple has been managing their hectic schedules. “They are both focused on their work now and just want to get through the holidays and the tour,” the insider explained. “They’ll be figuring out their next moves after the new year.”
Swift has remained a visible presence at Chiefs games during her tour breaks. She attended games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 4 and the Denver Broncos on November 10 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
The Chiefs are set to face the Buffalo Bills on November 17, during a brief break in Swift’s tour. While there’s no official word yet on whether she’ll attend the game in Buffalo, fans will be watching to see how the couple continues to navigate their busy schedules.
