Paul Rudd jabs Trump officials for spilling ‘military secrets’ as he talks about ‘Avengers Doomsday’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paul Rudd is keeping quiet about his upcoming return as Ant-Man in 'Avengers: Doomsday'.
However, he could not resist taking a playful jab at President Donald Trump’s security officials during his recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show'.

Host Jimmy Fallon, addressing Marvel’s well-known secrecy, asked Paul Rudd if he could share anything about the newly announced film.
Rudd, sticking to Marvel’s usual strict confidentiality policy, quipped, “There is nothing that I can tell you. They are very secretive.”
He then added a sly dig, “Clearly, as we know, they never announce anything. It’s a major movie."
"You can’t be frivolous with this kind of stuff. It’s nothing like, you know, military secrets or anything. This is a major motion picture,” he noted.
Paul Rudd mocks Trump officials over leaked military plans
Paul Rudd’s remark was a clear reference to a recent scandal involving Donald Trump’s national security team where officials mistakenly added a journalist to a private Signal chat about sensitive military plans regarding bombings in Yemen, according to Daily Beast.
The controversy erupted after The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, reported the scandal.

The messages, according to Goldberg, contained detailed information about weapons packages, targets, and the timing of military operations.
The revelations have sparked bipartisan concerns about national security, with Hillary Clinton describing the incident as both "reckless" and "dangerously incompetent."
Trump has yet to directly address the allegations, but the White House has stated that the situation is "under review."
Following Rudd's remarks, Fallon played along, joking, “It’s not something you put in a group chat.”
Rudd nodded in agreement, laughing, “Yes, it’s definitely not, like, some sort of coordinated attack anywhere.”
Despite claims from Trump’s camp that nothing in the conversation was classified, reports suggest otherwise.

Paul Rudd’s political stance and past Biden-Harris support
Paul Rudd has not shied away from politics in recent years, publicly supporting Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in their elections against Donald Trump.
In 2020, he joined other 'Avengers' cast members for a Biden-Harris fundraiser.
In 2024, he was spotted handing out water to college students waiting in line to vote in Pennsylvania, a key swing state.
Fallon kept the humor rolling, joking that he “didn’t think” leaking Marvel details was “that big a deal.”
Rudd, however, stuck to his secrecy about 'Avengers: Doomsday' during 'The Tonight Show', saying with a straight face, “It’s Marvel, Jimmy, it’s important.”
