Paul Sorvino's widow Dee Dee reveals how he blessed her to marry 'Dukes of Hazzard' actor John Schneider
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of actor Paul Sorvino, has revealed that the 'Goodfellas' star gave his blessing for her to marry 80s television legend John Schneider - two years after his death.
As per reports, the 64-year-old 'Dukes of Hazzard' actor and television personality married Dee Dee, 55, in Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 23. Both celebrities lost their spouses in the two years preceding their marriage.
While Dee Dee’s husband Paul died in July 2022, John’s wife Alicia Allain Schneider died in February 2023 from breast cancer.
Late Paul Sorvino apparently blessed widow Dee Dee to marry actor John Schneider
Actress and entertainer Dee Dee Sorvino revealed in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail that her late husband approved of her relationship with 'Dukes of Hazzard' in dreams.
John and Dee Dee tied the knot in Las Vegas after an 11-month private relationship. In addition to their Las Vegas wedding ceremony, they celebrated their official wedding on August 1 at The Hollywood Museum, where they first met.
John and Dee Dee got married in a surprise ceremony at Vegas Weddings on July 23, one of Sin City's most famous wedding venues, located in downtown Las Vegas.
Speaking during the red carpet ceremony at The Hollywood Museum, Dee Dee revealed that Paul — who died in July 2022 from pneumonia and kidney problems — "absolutely" supports this new marriage.
She remarked, "There is no doubt in my mind that Paul Sorvino sent John to me. I am absolutely sure of it. I heard him. I've gotten a lot of messages in my dreams and I just know it."
"He told me many times before he died, because he was sick, 'I really want you to find love.' I said, 'no way. It's not happening. There's no way there'll be anyone after you.' And then Paul brought me, John, I'm convinced."
"And so grateful again, you've got to have gratitude... I never thought I would find anyone. And then John came and was a miracle...Paul sent him to me," Dee Dee added.
After losing their spouses recently, Dee Dee and John lamented as they admitted that they did not think they would ever find love again. The romance astounded John, who remarked, "I didn't think the laughter would ever happen again."
However, Dee Dee hinted that they also have sexual chemistry as their marriage involves "lots of physical activity," showcasing their emotional and humorous bond.
They hope their marriage will inspire those who are grieving to rediscover love. After meeting at a Three Stooges celebration at The Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles, the couple shared their story of finding love amidst adversity.

John Schneider experienced incredible emotional transformation after feeling 'lost and helpless' in 2023
John reflected on his astonishment at overcoming his "despair" and "intense grief" after his wife Alicia's death from breast cancer in February 2023.
"You don't climb into love, you fall into love. When we met each other, the crazy dame at the end of the bar, I started laughing. I've been laughing ever since," he said.
He further added, "And I honestly never thought that was going to be possible. I didn't think laughter was going to be part of my life ever again."
"We are surprisingly content. We are surprisingly happy. We are in love. We're not afraid to explore that. We're not afraid to say it," John remarked of his union to Dee Dee.
John revealed that he underwent a profound emotional transformation after feeling "lost and helpless" in the spring of 2023. "The bridge between hopelessness and hope is laughter," he said.
"As corny as that may sound, I never thought there was ever going to be laughter again in my life. Then I met this one and we started laughing immediately and we're still laughing," he added.
The couple hopes that by sharing their happiness, others will be motivated to pursue new relationships after experiencing loss. John reaffirmed, "If you're on the road to grief, there's hope. Don't look for it."
