Dr Davis clarified, "To be clear, I am not her physician, but she has been outspoken about having diabetes."

Given Deen's diabetes condition, it wouldn't be uncommon for her to use Ozempic or a similar medication. However, while these drugs can contribute to weight loss, as evident in Deen's experience, Dr Davis highlighted potential drawbacks associated with their use.

"As they become more effective at managing diabetes and helping with weight loss," he cautioned, "it's important for users to recognize that there are some drawbacks that can occur after rapid weight loss ... especially when it comes to the face."

Dr Patrick Davis, a facial plastic surgeon, highlighted that medications like Ozempic can cause significant changes to the face, which may explain some of Paula Deen's noticeable physical changes.

Over the years, the celebrity chef's appearance has notably transformed, particularly her facial structure, which has become thinner and less round. This significant change has led to speculation that she may be using Ozempic or a similar drug.

Dr. Davis exclusively told Nicki Swift that the weight loss experienced with these medications extends beyond just a slimmer face or body.

"As a facial plastic surgeon, I have seen many, many patients who have concerns after having taken Ozempic for rapid weight loss. The issue with the dramatic drop in pounds is that it can result in a loss of muscle and bone density," he added. "Paradoxically, it causes gauntness in the face that makes the patient appear older than she is."

Dr Davis' insights into Ozempic appear to correlate with the significant physical changes observed in Deen. Given her diabetes diagnosis, speculation about Deen's use of Ozempic or similar medications is understandable.
