Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy welcome baby boy after 47-second delivery with 'exactly one push'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'Dancing with the Stars' alums Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy are now parents of three after announcing the arrival of their third son on July 12.

This was confirmed through a heartfelt post. Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd got married in July 2017 and began their family. They welcomed their first child, son Shai Aleksander, in January 2018, followed by their second son, Rio John, in June 2023, as per People.

Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy welcomed their third child together, announcing the news on their Instagram accounts. 

They shared a photo of Murgatroyd holding the newborn in the hospital, with the caption, "He is officially evicted from his mom and he is sooooo cute!!!! Birth details later but for now we wanted to let you all know that mom and baby are doing perfect, and delivery took around 47 seconds total! Exactly one push!" 

The couple also expressed gratitude for the lovely messages they've received, adding, "Also thank you all for the beautiful messages we have been receiving. Means a lot and very much appreciated #madeinPeta #threepeat"

In February 2024, the couple announced on Instagram that Murgatroyd was expecting their third baby with Chmerkovskiy, just seven months after welcoming their second son, Rio. "We Are Having A Baby," she wrote in the caption. "Yes we know…we just had a baby… haha! This was very unexpected at (4 months postpartum with Rio) but we are sooooo happy and so ready to be a family of 5 soon!" 

Later in March, the couple revealed they were expecting a boy. "It’s a …….BOY! I’ve been quietly preparing myself to be a real-life wolf pack Mumma with our THIRD baby boy on the way," they shared. "I CANNOT BELIEVE WE WILL HAVE 3 BOYS!! Maks and I are beyond happy to have another buddy for Shai and Rio…we want them to be the best of friends and thinking about family dinners already makes us laugh! Not to mention when Rio turns 1 , I will give birth to this bundle of joy a couple of weeks later."
